The strangest thing happened this morning and I feel compelled to share. After going to bed at a normal time last night, around eleven. Both Julie and I woke up this morning at 8am!!! We NEVER sleep until 8am. On top of that, the house was strangely, even eerily quiet...not a sound. I got up, looked around, and it was empty, not one child could be found anywhere, just Julie and I...
Then we remembered that our friends from Rooftop Blake and Gerilyn (specifically Gerilyn) offered to watch all five children overnight at their home, along with their three. What a gift! We are not really sure what to do with ourselves this morning except to say "Thank you!!!" I am sure the eight kiddos had a blast spending the night together as well.
As far as Julie and the baby are concerned, everything is good. No problems and nothing new to report. Also, tomorrow (Sunday) is 26 weeks and that much closer to term.
On a side note, I would like to congratulate our friends Jack & Dana on bringing home their new adopted son Solomon from Ethiopia. He is eight years old and joins his new brother Joseph (3) who also was adopted from Ethiopia a couple years ago. This morning is Solomon's first morning home, here in America, with his new mother, father, and brother. I am sure his morning is a bit more bizarre than ours has been. :-)
