Good News and Bad News

Today Julie had another doctor appointment and once again, everything is great...very normal.  This of course is good news, on top of previous good news over the past several weeks.

As a result of the stable 3 weeks that Julie has has and solid 2 1/2 weeks since coming home, the doctor has upped Julie's activity level from "bed rest" to "take it easy".  The doctor and Julie both believe that whatever issue was there is no longer there.  Of course they don't want to be reckless, so Julie can resume semi-normal activity.  This includes attending church, being more active around the home, as well as getting out of the house.  We have not given her "full shopping" rites, and she must engage in limited meal preparation as well.  Beyond that, she is content hanging out, reading to the children, preparing this coming years home-school curriculum, and staying inside out of the heat.

Thank you to all of you who have prayed and supported us.  Thank you to those of you who continue to stop by for visits, help with the children during the day, and provide us meals.  All of these keep Julie in "take it easy" mode which is a HUGE blessing.  Sunday is 28 weeks along and only 12 more to go.

On a sad note, we did experience a loss in the family today.  We recently got 12 hens for egg laying which will begin this fall as they grow to maturity.  However, the record heat today caught us off guard and unknowingly we lost two of our chickens due to the excessive heat..108 degrees!!!  We are better prepared for tomorrow and the rest of the week, but we are all sad that we lost two of our "flock" and 17% of the earning potential for the boys forthcoming egg business.  David tried his best to care for and help one of the chickens whom we found near death...but sadly were unable to cool off in time.

So sorry to hear about the loss of the 2 chicks. I lost one of my hens Wednesday night from semi-natural causes. She was one of our favorites because she was so sweet and quite the character. We will really miss her.
So glad that Julie is doing better!!

Continued prayers for your family scenario and for Julie and the unborn baby's health.

I am also sorry to hear about the loss of the two chickens. Julie was telling that had happened. Pray for cooler moments.

Praying for peace and comfort in Christ and continued guidance and wisdom for the doctors as you continue to journey brother.

Love from our family to yours.

May God restore us and calm our fears in the storms of life.
