We interrupt your regularly scheduled program with the following...
I just received a phone call from Julie saying that based on her stability and health, they are releasing her from the hospital to "home bed rest" as long as her situations stays stable and signs of leaking or stress to the baby are not present. Julie will have to make three hospital visits each week to continue monitoring her and the baby, but she will be able to be at home for now, as long as her condition does not get worse.
This of course is a great praise and wasn't even an option mentioned last Sunday when we checked her into the hospital. The perinatologist said 10 plus weeks of constant monitoring in the hospital and hopefully she would not go into premature labor. How things can change and the roller coaster can go up and down. Nonetheless, we are so thankful for this stability and healing to whatever degree it has occurred so that Julie can come back home to the family.
On the other hand, this will be quite challenging as a mother of five children does not naturally "rest" during her day. The transition to having Julie in the house but immobile and unavailable to help out will be difficult for children (and Mama) who will want to return to normal or semi-normal activity.
For those of you bringing meals and watching children, we would still appreciate your services and help if available. Julie should not be here alone with the children should something happen so your continued assistance is important for this to work. It also helps us manage the continued trips to the hospital.
This is an experiment and we hope and pray it turns out well. Thank you to all who have prayed for Julie and the baby, we don't know what will happen tomorrow but we are so thankful for this blessing today and we keep on taking one day at a time.
